The great wall

BBC news
I'm a little busy today, applying for positions and preparing work for the week, so I just put up the link above. While I don't agree with all of it, the story makes me think. Who will suffer the most if Iran does create nuclear weapons? Honestly, you can't believe they'll be able to shoot the suckers over the Atlantic. While the US is a target of terrorism, it's harder to get to us as an organized, fighting army. So look around you're city, how uncomfortably close are you to the fire? And who will you call upon when it gets too hot?

I wonder about the day we all get fed up with the rest of the world, close our boarders and build a wall like China did.

True, true, it'd be a lot of work. Plus it'd have to be really high, and it'd probably block views. There'd be all kinds of red tape to go through;-)

I don't want to build a wall. 1. It does sound like a lot of work.
2. I don't like feeling trapped.

adult - ah, yeah, that could definitely be a problem. All the claustraphobic people would vote a wall down;-)

If the people still wanted no wall, the government wouldn't care. Corrupted bureaucracy is the name of the game in this century.

I think Isreal is trying that. Problem with those pesky missiles is they go right over the wall unless you build it up to the moon.

I've often thought that if a nuclear armagedon happens it will be all nice cost and local to the Middle East...

indoors - graffitti is sooo last decade;-)

torquer - your comment reminds me of the Berlin wall. Certainally the government didn't listen to the people then. But then, it was torn down by the people in the end..

boy - you're saying the middle east will be turned into a (slightly radioactive) beach resort? Might be cool, glowing sand in the night;-)
