Two of my favorite things..

Sorry, I'm out of inspiration for the moment...well, that's a full on lie, because I just bought a couple books, and am happily sipping wine on the couch and can't be bothered to write:-)

This is Stormy. For those of you who've known me for awhile, you already know the story, but for the rest, well: Stormy found me on a rainy, sleety (is that a word?) night last January. He was tiny then, but in fluff and body, he's grown. He still loves nothing more than hanging out with his mom, though.

Next to him is the latest book (in paperback) of one of my favorite series. It's a book by Kathlene and Michael Gear who are both archeologists and have written the first North American series. I've been hooked since the first book, some eight years ago.

I know some of you don't like cats. For allergy reasons, I understand, otherwise? Well, you've never met this one! He meets me at the stairs every day so excited that I'm home. I can't say how much that means after a long day, and well, after the painful years I've had, it's great to know this little guy is here at home just anxious to see me!

Ok, back to the book and the Bordeaux!

I have a cat, and sometimes I forget that he even lives here. I do know what a great feeling it is to be greeted when you come home by a friend that loves you unconditionally. There is no feeling like it.
There's nothing quite like a good book, either. I could lost for hours...

Oh, this one you could never forget he lives here, he owns me (plus he is very talkative)!!

Yeah, it is the best to have my little guy and a book, ahhhh, yes, my word addiction is fed yet again;-)

I've lived on and off with cat's most of my life. My wife though found out that all her morning sneezing was due to a cat allergy, so, though she loves cats, no cats in the house.

And which Bordeaux was it? Inquiring minds want to know.

Last time I saw Stormy, he was still a kitten. He grew up to be a beautiful cat!

Boy - oh, that's no fun to have allergies! The first hypoallergenic cats have gone on sale in the U.S. Apparently some researchers were able to identify a factor which causes most cats to have dander. But, some don't have that. They were able to breed out the factor to produce a genetic line of kittens that don't have dander! Right now they're really expensive, but maybe in 5-10 years... I can't remember the Bordeaux I was drinking right now..the bottle is at home and I'll let you know after work:-)

Karen - I know! he's so pretty!!

What a gorgeous cat! My own one is quite plain in comparison, but is so warm and greeting, as you say.

I had some allergy when she first arrived, but after 6 or 9 months it totally went. I got an air purifier/ioniser which helped, but now I no longer have to use it.

I read that people who own a dog or a cat get thirty percent fewer colds.

Cats are cool. I used to be allergic, but after being persuaded to have one of our own, I've overcome my allergy.

* how did you get over the allergy?

Candace - four! Goodness, they must rule your world! Stormy has a pretty strong hold on our place, I can't imagine having to persuade another cat that I'm the Human, meaning I'm in control...er..OK, I give up, furball wins;-)
