Yes I understand that IT is supposed to stand for ‘information technology’ but I feel that IT means something much, much, much more evil.
IT transferred my e-mail account to another system.
IT took over my computer to shut down and load updates while I was working on a document.
IT won’t update my java-script.
IT is everywhere, and no one.
IT is scary.
My vision of IT is a giant with robot-like qualities and a computer screen for a head. IT grumbles with a low-pitch fax sound. IT whips multi-colored cables about flaunting microchips, crushing mice and clattering keyboard teeth.
IT is a Stephen King book turned creepy office crawler.
And if IT rears in my direction again, I’m pulling the damn plug!

Well, we never actually SEE IT, IT just does things or refuses to do things via e-mail or just taking over the computer remotely...so, I can only postulate guesses...
IT is a bloody pest, also my husband is IT as IT is always on my pc when i want it!

IT is the career I am stuck with. IT is why family and friends ring me in a panic. IT is why I have loads of crap stuck in my head. IT makes me push out those updates to people when they least expect it.
IT is my world...unfortunately.
Thank God I have friends who work for Geek Squad, because if I had it my way, I would so throw my computer into the pool, every other day...damn technology with all your vast and fast ways of improving life...
IT is all knowing, sharing only bits of information so that IT remains all powerful and I know only enough to be dangerous and needy.

My dad drives me nuts he goes on the pc and 2 mins later shouts "help get me off this, can't get out I'm stuck" so you show him once what to do, you show him a million times and it just don't sink in.
We are your friends, there to help make your life easier, more relaxed. We are not the enemy.
BTW we need to take away your PC for a week for essential maintenance. Just fill out this paper form in triplicate and get your boss and boss's boss' signature...
Jo - my parents are just as helpless, maybe we should write them a how-to guide?
