Can't think of a title today
Very tired today.
I couldn’t sleep last night. Actually tossed and turned until around 5 or 5:30 in the morning. I was wide awake when the first morning birds woke up, and when the lovely garbage trucks started rumbling.
Why?
Well, there could be several reasons.
My boss comes back into town from London either today or tomorrow. I’ve completed all the work I needed to for her arrival, but now await her approval.
I received a call from my Ad Hoc committee yesterday. We’ll have a conference call on Tuesday. I have to explain why I feel I deserve a Ph.D. rather than a Masters.
The final, printed-on-the-correct-paper version of my thesis (now 138 pages) is due November 1st. I need to get the first version out by Monday at the latest to the man-in-charge-of-checking-formatting.
I haven’t talked to my brother in since July. He’s mad at me because I hate his former-but-getting-back-together-with-girlfriend.
I’m using a lot of hyphens today.
I have to do laundry.
I would like to talk to my Montana guy, but he’s on the road (got to see the Rolling Stones).
My stomach hurts from early morning coffee I literally drank while in the midst of showering.
I think my Memphis friends have forgotten me. That’s OK, I expected that, it’s hard to keep in touch when several states away.
This granola bar tastes like cardboard.
When I’m done writing this, I have to get back to work on my thesis. I hate the word ‘thesis.’ In fact, I’m sure I’m more irritated about talking about it than you are hearing about it.
I’ve been neglecting my blogging buddies, sorry.
I’m trying to think of other sleepless-night-inducing-anxieties because I don’t want to work…….Can’t think anymore, must go, must sleep, must..not..have..more……..coffeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

too bad aboutyour brother. My brother pisses me off on a regular basis. I'm not mad at him for his choice of girl friend- I'm angry with HER for not finding someone that deserves her. She is awesome.
I'm certain that you're friends haven't forgotten you, life just gets in the way sometimes.
If the granola bar tastes like cardboard, STOP eating it! For heavens sake, when is the last time that you ate a proper meal?
Do I sound like a mom, or what.

Actually, my Brother hasn't called me, he's mad at ME?! 'cos I don't like the fat cow. And, I have valid reasons, like, she checks his phone messages, erases the ones she doesn't like (I have an e-mail from her ADMITTING that she does this!!!!) and there is evidence of e-mail tampering. Also, he seems to not get mail, or calls, or any sort of communication even friends stopping by w/o her approval. bitch.
Yeah, I'd stop eating the granola bar, but I'm hungry and didn't bring a lunch. arg.

That sucks. My brother is married to 'woman' like that. She is actually the reason for our estrangement. Last I heard, almost NOBODY was speaking to bro and wife. (or, as I like to call her, the life sucker).
I hope that things change for you.
How does the rest of the family about her?
Anyway, must go. I'm doing the mom thing today..you know, mopping, dishes, trying to catch the damn bird that I let out of his cage. (jerk)

She sounds like a scary bunny boiler. Hopefully he will realise soon enough and ditch her.
Life: the rest of my family feels the same way about her, so do all of Brother's friends, who he no longer talks to...

Ok, good advice. I think I'll start to calm down after I meet the thesis deadline and get through the conference call next week. Then, I shall celebrate with wine, lots and lots of wine!
Oh it SO sucks when sibs get together with someone less-than-family-worthy. :-/ My sis dumped hers, thankfully. Now she's with a really good guy. Here's hoping your bro sees the light sooner than later.

I can't think of any granola that doesn't taste like cardboard...but I am impressed at your multi-tasking during your shower.
Yeah, Candace, I hope he sees the light, he's just all stupid right now. He admits to my parents (when he finally returns their calls) and to his one friend left (that actually calls us every-time he talks to Brother, cos he is worried about B) that he doesn't love this woman, and doesn't even really like her company...WTF?! So he's burning all these bridges for someone he doesn't even LIKE? ...and yay, WINE!!!
Her Indoors, I slept pretty well last night, but I ran 4mi after work and was going on no sleep...tonight? Wine tasting at this cool place with friends, I'll sleep well tonight (and prob all tomorrow!)
Jay, I chose pretzels today...better, but not the best breakfast!! all that was in the vending machine though, and the coffee was eating it's way through my stomach:-( We have a really big tub (although the pipes to take a bath don't work, go figure) and it has these huge sides, tiled platform-like which makes it hard to get INTO the shower, but provides a nice place to rest a coffee cup!! :-)
Hey hun go to sleep all those other things will be there tomorrow, and I think I would be stressed if I had to write a thesis sounds like hard work, hope your sleep gets better.

Well, If brother gets to wed miss get-back-together girlfriend, then you're stuck with her & you'll be forced to be civil to her. I understand how it feels but its a small world.
